I’m Anne Frank, thirteen, and a Jew
in the time when Hitler came to power in Germany. It was July of 1942
when we entered the upstairs of my father’s old business to hide.
For two years we were there, and I found that in the time I was up there
I must have been the most headstrong. I have a tendency to be loud sometimes,
and feel second to my elder sister, Margot.
